Which state is best for MBBS admission for non-domicile students?

Karnataka (COMED-K + KEA open to all-India + wide NRI/mgmt availability) and Maharashtra (deemed cluster + NRI-friendly private colleges) offer the widest non-domicile access. Deemed universities are always all-India regardless of domicile.

You can apply through: (1) All India Quota (15% of state colleges) via MCC; (2) Deemed universities via MCC deemed counselling; (3) Private management / NRI quota anywhere in India; (4) MBBS abroad.

Can I use SC/ST/OBC certificate from my home state in a different state?

Depends on the state. Karnataka, Maharashtra, UP, TN currently accept central-list category certificates for private college admissions. Rajasthan (from 2026) does NOT — non-domiciles are treated as general regardless of caste certificate.
