1. SG Education does not collect college fees
All admission fees, capitation, donation, hostel charges, and any other payments to the college are made by the student / family directly to the official college bank account through verified, written channels. SG Education never accepts, holds, or transmits any portion of the college fee. Therefore, refund of college fees is governed entirely by the college's own refund policy — not by SG Education.
2. SG Education's counselling fee
Our counselling guidance is provided free of cost to the student and family until and unless an admission is officially confirmed and an admission letter is issued by the college. We are separately compensated by the partner college after the admission is confirmed. We do not invoice or collect any fee from you directly.
3. Once a seat is locked
Once a college issues an official admission letter in your name, the seat is locked under your name and the college's quota seat is allocated to you. Back-out, cancellation, or refund requests from this point onwards are governed by the college's own policy. Most deemed and private medical colleges have strict no-refund or partial-refund policies after seat confirmation under NRI / Management / Institutional quotas — this is standard industry practice. We strongly recommend reviewing the college's written refund policy before commencing the official application and payment.
4. Before commencing the official application
You are free to back out at any time before commencing the official application to a specific college. There is no obligation to proceed at any stage of counselling.
5. Documentation
Always ask for, and retain, written copies of the college's fee structure (including refund terms) before making any payment. We help you obtain these documents during the counselling process.
6. Disputes
For any disputes arising from college refunds, address the college directly per their grievance process. SG Education is not a party to the financial transaction between you and the college and is therefore unable to mediate refund disputes.
