Full document checklist

Do I need a passport for MBBS admission?

For MBBS in India — recommended but not always mandatory (some colleges accept Aadhaar). For MBBS Abroad — mandatory, with at least 18 months validity from intake date.

Is domicile certificate mandatory?

Only if you're applying for state-quota seats (government or private state-merit) in your domicile state. Non-domicile candidates using AIQ, NRI, management, or deemed routes don't need it.

What is the NMC Eligibility Certificate?

Required for Indian students pursuing MBBS abroad since NMC's 2018 rules. NMC issues it after verifying your NEET qualifying score + Class 12 marks. SG Education handles this end-to-end for abroad applications.

How many photographs do I need for MBBS admission?

8–12 passport-size photographs (as per specifications published by the counselling authority). Bring extras — colleges often need originals + copies at multiple verification stages.

What is a bonafide certificate?

A document from your Class 12 school confirming your enrolment + duration of study there. Often required alongside migration certificate at MBBS admission verification. Ask your school in advance.
