FAQs

State-wise MBBS fees — questions answered.

Which state has the cheapest private MBBS in India?

Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh currently have the most affordable private MBBS management-quota totals (₹50–75 L for the full course). Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal follow closely at ₹55–75 L.

Which state has the highest private MBBS fee?

Maharashtra and Rajasthan see the highest private/NRI totals — ₹1.1–1.5 Cr for premium NRI seats in DY Patil, MGM, Bharati Vidyapeeth, and top Rajasthan private colleges.

Do state-quota government fees differ across states?

Yes. Tamil Nadu, Telangana and AP have the lowest govt MBBS totals (₹1–3 L for full course). Maharashtra, MP and Rajasthan run ₹5–8 L. Fees are FRA-fixed per state and revised annually.

Do non-domicile candidates pay higher fees in state private colleges?

Fees are the same for all seat-holders once admitted, but access differs. Non-domicile students typically have to go via management or NRI quota, which carry higher fees than state-merit quota.
