What MBBS admission in Karnataka really looks like

Bangalore + coastal medical education hub. 47 private medical colleges, COMEDK for engineering, and the KEA-driven state counselling system.

Who handles state counselling?

KEA conducts the state counselling, while COMEDK handles a parallel pool for non-domiciled and management-quota seats.

Domicile & eligibility

Most state-quota seats require a valid Karnataka domicile certificate. The 15% AIQ pool is open to all India via MCC. We help you decide which route maximises your chances given your score and family situation.

Fee bands you'll encounter

Government seats are FRA-regulated and the most affordable. Private state-quota seats sit in the mid band. Management quota and NRI seats sit at the top — sometimes 3–5× state-quota fees.

Documentation specifics

Karnataka has a few state-specific document requirements — domicile format, sub-caste declaration, parent's residence proof — that families from outside the state often miss. We've handled them for years.

Karnataka — FAQs

Common questions about admission in this state

Yes — the 85% state quota in Karnataka is reserved for candidates with a valid state domicile certificate. AIQ (15%) and deemed university seats remain open to all India irrespective of domicile.

Government colleges have the lowest fees (often under ₹1L/year). Among private institutions in our network, the lowest fee tier sits in the ₹7–10L/year range. Send us your NEET rank and we'll share a precise shortlist.

For MBBS/BDS/BAMS — NEET-UG only. For management quota and NRI seats, the same NEET-UG score is used. For engineering and management courses, the state also conducts its own CET in parallel.

Begin the moment your entrance result is announced. Karnataka's state counselling typically starts 2–3 weeks after MCC's first AIQ round. Waiting until rounds open often means you've missed the registration window.

Yes. Our end-to-end admission management service covers document audit, counselling registration, choice filling, allotment co-ordination, joining formalities and post-admission support — all by a single named counsellor assigned to your file.
